🎉 Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA)
Our PTFA is a registered charity that plays a vital role in supporting life at Etwall Primary.
The group works hard throughout the year to raise funds that directly benefit our children, helping to provide additional resources, experiences and opportunities that enrich school life.
🌟 What the PTFA does
The funds raised by the PTFA are used to:
- Enhance the learning environment with additional resources
- Support exciting events and experiences for children
- Provide opportunities that go beyond what school funding alone can offer
Their contribution makes a real and lasting difference to children’s experiences at Etwall Primary.
🤝 Bringing our community together
While fundraising is a key part of what they do, the PTFA also plays an important social role within our school community.
Events organised by the PTFA provide opportunities for:
- Families, staff and pupils to come together
- Children to enjoy fun, memorable experiences
- The wider community to get involved
We are proud that the PTFA also works closely with local organisations, including the village Cricket Club, to host community events such as:
- 🎆 The village fireworks display
- 🎶 Local music festival
👨👩👧👦 Who runs the PTFA?
The PTFA is led by a friendly and dedicated team of parent volunteers.
The committee usually includes:
- Chair
- Vice-Chair
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Committee members
They meet regularly (typically once each half term) to:
- Plan upcoming events
- Organise fundraising activities
- Decide how funds are best spent
Smaller groups are often set up to organise individual events such as:
- 🎧 School discos
- 🎅 Secret Santa
- ☀️ Summer Fair
- ♻️ Recycling days
- 🎬 Film nights
🙌 How you can get involved
All parents, carers and staff are automatically members of the PTFA—and everyone is welcome to take part.
There are lots of ways to get involved, including:
- Attending meetings
- Helping at events
- Supporting behind the scenes
- Baking, donating or volunteering your time
- Simply coming along and enjoying events with your family
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps make a difference.

🌈 Making a difference together
The PTFA is a fantastic example of our school community working together. Through their time, energy and commitment, they help create experiences that children remember long after they leave Etwall Primary.
We are incredibly grateful for their support.
